Drifting Cabinets is a portable art/science collection dedicated to exploring biodiversity and ecological issues in the Gulf region. Collection holdings include biological specimens, art, illustrations, videos, scientific instruments, books, artifacts, and music.

The collection is housed in a series of vintage trunks, each addressing a different aspect of regional biodiversity. Trunks interiors and bell jar bases are retrofitted and made from polished inlaid wood recycled from regional architecture and trees lost in Hurricane Irma. Watercolor illustrations of gulf wildlife are produced with water from Florida hurricanes.

Scientists include: Suzanne Fredericq, Verity Mathis, Chase Pirtle, Joseph Ryan, Coleman M. Sheehy III, Lisa Anne Taylor, Peter Warny, and Thomas A. Webber.
Drifting Cabinets Amphibian Trunk, Reptile Trunk, and Mammal Trunk. The Drifting Cabinets project contains loaned or donated specimens or specimen replicas by University of Florida, Florida Museum of Natural History, Ashton Biological Preserve, Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Peter Warny, Dr. Lisa Anne Taylor, and Lubee Bat Conservancy. Miller curates, purchases, or in some cases fabricates specimen replicas through casts or molds or lathe turning.
